Pfluger Architects has expanded into the Dallas market and moved into the heart of Dallas' West End Historic District. By honoring the craftsmanship and industrial character of the historic Factory 603 building, the office's design celebrates the raw imperfections of natural materials. Natural cork on pristine white walls, Baltic birch millwork with 100-year old brick, and raw steel accents against a backdrop of old sawn timber create contrasts that make the space engaging and tactile. Glazing added to the office perimeter creates a dialogue with the original 1903 structure, provides exterior views, and brings in natural light that gives context while creating a sense of openness. By intentionally layering lighting and textures, multiple work environments were created while maintaining a sense of unity.
