The University of Houston at Katy Academic Building was designed by SmithGroup. The three-story, 80,000-square-foot-facility is home to programs from the UH College of Nursing and the UH Cullen College of Engineering. It houses a nursing simulation learning center, offices, engineering studios, multi-purpose classroom and seminar spaces. The interior design is bright and contemporary, with red collegiate wall accents, ample glass along corridors, and openings to shaded outdoor plazas and gardens. This is one of a series of projects SmithGroup has completed with the University of Houston.
